Reyes' one-hitter is not enough to win
Reyes, a former Trojan, should be the next big star like Zito and Prior. USC has been consistently provide MLB excellent pitch stuff.
Reyes missed no-hitter by surrending a long shot to Thome, whose 24th HR leads AL.
Tony la Russa, manager of Cardinals, should keep Reyes in the rotation instead of sending him back to AAA.
Reyes' petoca card in BP ( http://www.baseballprospectus.com/pecota/reyesan01.php ) shows that he has excellent ability to fan out MLB players and still has good command of his pitches.
Do not make stupid move like Angels' manager Mike Scioscia did several days ago. He sent Jered Weaver back to AAA instead of put Jeff Weaver or Kevin Escobar into bullpens. Jered Weaver has won all of his four major league starts with a outstanding ERA 1.37 and WHIP 0.76. He stroke out 22 in 26.1IP while only walked 4. He should become the ACE in Angels' rotation soon. The problem of Angels' is their poor offense lineup. It is worth to trade their SP (excluding Jered Weaver) for sluggers.
